Donation made to the park/playground in memory of Karen Brown who was tragically taken from this world way too soon. Karen was a young, vibrant person who was well known growing up in Sandringham. She attended high school at Holy Cross where both students and staff alike can attest to her pleasant personality and smiling face. She was always one to lend a hand and encourage others! During her adult years her best trait was her undying love for her two wonderful children. Sadly, at the young age of 30, Karen lost her battle to Cancer.This year marks the graduation from high school of her youngest daughter, and we believe it is fitting to mark that event with a plaque on the “Memorial Wall” that is to be erected at the playground site in September. We know Karen would have championed this cause and cherished the contribution it makes to the children and people of the community. On behalf of her parents and 3 siblings, we are proud to make this donation.
