Pakara Apts shows all how a Yard/Bake/Variety Sale is done!!!

Another wonderful fundraiser, another group of dedicated volunteers and another huge success! Grace Handcock, Ida Babstock and the residents of Pakara Apts organized a huge yard, bake and variety sale this past Saturday that had people coming out of the woodwork! Not only did they have lots of goodies for sale they also had a surprise treat for all who came and showed their support, a  Newfoundland favorite of fish 'n' brews was served with a cup of tea and all! These gals pulled out all the stops and did a super job of organizing this great fundraiser for our playground/park!

From leather jackets to lamp shades, this sale had it all covered. Thank you to the residents who donated items to the sale and to the many residents as well as CFA (come from aways) who dropped in to find their very own treasures! It was a  great day for all involved and hey, the sun even came out to help us! The sale was a huge success, how huge you ask? Grand total for the Yard, Bake and Variety Sale was $1451.08!!! I think even the residents and Grace herself were blown away by all the support! If this is any indication of how much support we can expect to recieve from our community, our playground and park will be second to none! Thank you again to the residents of Pakara Apts, especially Grace and Ida for all your hard work and giving up the first day of summer to help support our community project! You are setting the    bar for all  future fundraisers! Way to go!!! :-)
