Zumba Fitness Party on Saturday helped playground reach $40,000 mark!!!

Saturday morning had people up bright and early, movin' and a groovin' to ZUMBA!!! Robyn Squire and Jan Marie Gill organized this fundraiser in support of our playgorund and park. Zumba has become wildly popular on the Peninsula since it was introduced this past Spring. Many, many residents from every age category love it! It's not only a great way to break a sweat, it's actually a lot of fun too! The Zumba fitness party due to the weather (surprise, surprise) was held in the gym instead of the school parking lot and while the rain may have detered some folks from stepping outside, a nice crowd of 18 adults, 2 children, 1 man (and a partridge in a pear tree) ventured outside to shake their booty! :-) A total of $180.00 was raised that Saturday morning and adding that to the playground thermometer has helped us reach and pass the $40,000 mark!!! WOW!  Another great weekend for our playground! A huge thanks to Robyn Squire and Jan Marie Gill for putting together this fundraiser and thanks to all that came out, had a great workout and showed your support once again! You all ROCK!!! :-)
